This attractive and very collectible sled-
style table radio was introduced in the
summer of 1940 as part of Philco's line-
up for the 1941 model year. It's original
sales price was $27.50.
The model 41-226C is a 6-tube super-
heterodyne providing coverage of the
standard broadcast band from approx
550 - 1700kc and the short-wave band
from 8.8 - 12Mcs. The tube line-up is
XXD (mixer/LO), 7B7 (1st IF), 7B7 (2nd
IF), 7C6 (2nd det/AVC/1st AF), 35A5
(AF output) & 35Z3 (rectifier). It features
five push-buttons for electronic tuning,
with a sixth button used for on/off. The
