Crosley 11-104U Ebony Bakelite Table Radio (1951)
This small radio from the 50's reflects an automotive theme and was available in a number of colors,
including white (model 11-100U), blue (11-101U), green (11-102U), red (11-103U), ebony (as here,
11-104U) and chartreuse (11-105U). There are collectors out there who endeavor to own each and
every color variation for this and other similar Crosley models of the fifties era - see
crosleyradios.com for examples. This is known among collectors as one of the Crosley "Dynamic"
or "Bullseye" models.
It is an ac/dc powered receiver covering the standard-broadcast band and utilizing the miniature
all-American-five tube set: 12BE6, 12BA6, 12AV6, 50C5, 35W4.
